Hear what the guests have to say…
God’s own country. Shire has its own waterfall, stream, hill and a garden, the only visitors that you can expect here are the monkeys, peacocks and sometimes Mr. Sunny, the caretaker.
Beaten and bruised by the daily routines of our lives, we wanted to take our work stations to some place remote and this place is an escape that I needed. The Shire has been a home/office to us for over three weeks and one of the best stays of all my travels.
Work for 8 hours, make a coffee for myself, sit on the veranda, trek to the hill top for sunset, walk up to the stream, swing on the hammock ,take a small trip on weekend to Mananthavady to get some groceries, chase away the monkeys…my routine for three weeks.
We are glad that we discovered The Shire and yes this is not the last time that we will be visiting this place. Thanks to Ria, our host, who has thought through everything to make our stay a pleasant one. Thanks a lot for your patience, for understanding our work requirements, you are the best.
